The Concorde Collection - From Studio To Runway

It’s been a few years since I first shared the story of my Concorde collection, and since my original post, something exciting happened.

Runway Visitor Park

My artwork has officially landed. The Concorde Collection now has a permanent home at the Manchester Airport Runway Visitor Park, specifically within the Concorde exhibition meeting rooms. Standing under the wings of the legendary G-BOAC is an amazing experience for any aviation fan and knowing that my artwork plays a small part in telling the story of this supersonic icon is a real career highlight.

Getting The Angles

When creating the artwork I used my die-cast Air France 1:400 scale model to get those tricky angles just right, (the model still holds pride of place on my desk!). I regularly use models to play with light and shadow, simplifying complex shapes into the bold vector lines you see in my prints.

  • Pro-Tip: If you're drawing aircraft, grab a model, a torch and some white paper to see how the shadows fall.

The Beauty Of Vector

For the Manchester exhibition, individual illustrations have been reproduced at over 1,000% of their original size without losing an ounce of crispness. It’s a great reminder to pay close attention when working small; you never know when someone might want to ‘biggie size’ your work for something exciting.

Start Your Supersonic Gallery (and Save 20%)

I’ve noticed that many of you order more than one print to kickstart your gallery walls. To make it easier to curate your own space, I’ve introduced a permanent offer:

THE COLLECTOR’S OFFER: Enjoy 20% OFF when you buy 3 or more prints. Check out the full aviation collection - it’s the perfect way to 'mix and match' your favourites. The offer is automatically applied at checkout and covers all prints (not just aviation) across all sizes. Shop now.

"An excellent present for aviation enthusiasts of all ages.Alan L.

"Fantastic quality prints. Highly recommended. Looks fantastic framed." Paul Slater

"Really stunning print. Looks great in our home office."  Helen

Whether you're a die hard Concorde fan like my friend Rhys (above) who helped me get the technical details right, or just someone who loves bold, colourful aviation art, I hope this collection brings a bit of supersonic joy to your walls. In fact Rhys tells me that 21st January 2026 marks 50 years since her first commercial flight. How time flies. Sonic boom boom.

Concorde - The Sound Of Speed

I’ve curated a Spotify playlist to celebrate the spirit of Mach 2. It features everything from Oasis and the Foo Fighters to the atmospheric sounds of Air. I’ve started the list with 10 tracks, but I want to keep it growing. Listen along and let me know in the comments: what song would you add to capture that supersonic feeling?
