I loved the intuitive process of creating this abstract landscape painting (alongside it's sister painting ‘From The Lookout II'.) By layering colours and textures, then removing elements to reveal underlying marks, I allowed the painting to evolve organically into something unexpected and beautiful. I started off with a horizon line and then got to work with the blues. Before long it became clear it was to become a hazy, balmy seascape.
