I was drawn to the sultry, dramatic mood of dusk turning into night. Deep indigo, velvety plum, and a glowing streak of horizon light were built up with rich acrylic glazes, capturing that electric, mysterious energy just as the first stars appear.

Snapshots: Polaroid Sized Original Paintings

Welcome to Snapshots, my new series of paintings that capture the subtle yet profound moments that illuminate our lives. From the soft glow of a sunset to the unexpected light after a storm, these pieces explore how we recall fleeting memories or envision hopeful futures—often with a sense of nostalgia, longing or curiosity.

Vibrant, bold, and dreamlike, these tiny pieces of art have the nostalgic charm of an 80s Polaroid. Each original, hand-painted piece is created in one sitting, with distinct impressionistic brushstrokes and emotive colours. A coat of gloss varnish adds depth and a hazy, luminous glow.

Each Snapshot is numbered and titled but their true alchemy lies in how they resonate with your unique perspective. These little paintings are designed to become a mirror for your memories, a canvas for your dreams.

Spend time with them, let your gaze wander, and allow your intuition to settle on the Snapshot that speaks to you.
